Stable phase retrieval from locally stable and conditionally connected measurements

چکیده

In this paper, we study the stability of phase retrieval problems via a family locally stable frame measurements in Banach spaces, which call “locally and conditionally connected” (LSCC) measurement schemes. For any signal f space, associate it with weighted graph Gf, defined by LSCC scheme, show that retrievability is determined connectivity Gf. We quantify two common measures connectivity: The Cheeger constant for real-valued signals, algebraic complex-valued signals. then use our results to models. first model, finite-dimensional problem from supported such as windowed Fourier transform. signals “without large holes” are retrievable, Rd grows proportionally d1/2, while Cd d. second model consider an infinite-dimensional shift-invariant space. infinite-dimension even retrievable can have being zero, hence infinite constant. give example monotone polynomial decay has exponential strictly positive

Maximum Locally Stable Matchings

Motivated by the observation that most companies are more likely to consider job applicants suggested by their employees than those who apply on their own, Arcaute and Vassilvitskii modeled a job market that integrates social networks into stable matchings in an interesting way. We call their model HR+SN because an instance of their model is an ordered pair (I,G) where I is a typical instance o...

Stratified disks are locally stable

Notwithstanding recent claims by Richard et al., there is no linear hydrodynamic instability of axisymmetrically stable disks in the local limit. We prove this by means of an exact stability analysis of an unbounded incompressible flow having constant stratification and constant shear.

Stable optimizationless recovery from phaseless linear measurements

We address the problem of recovering an n-vector from m linear measurements lacking sign or phase information. We show that lifting and semidefinite relaxation suffice by themselves for stable recovery in the setting of m = O(n logn) random sensing vectors, with high probability. The recovery method is optimizationless in the sense that trace minimization in the PhaseLift procedure is unnecessa...

Stable Signal Recovery from Phaseless Measurements

The aim of this paper is to study the stability of the l1 minimization for the compressive phase retrieval and to extend the instance-optimality in compressed sensing to the real phase retrieval setting. We first show that the m = O(k log(N/k)) measurements is enough to guarantee the l1 minimization to recover k-sparse signals stably provided the measurement matrix A satisfies the strong RIP pr...

Weakly Conditionally Stable and Uncon- Ditionally Stable Fdtd Schemes for 3d Maxwell’s Equations

To overcome the Courant limit on the time step size of the conventional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, some weakly conditionally stable and unconditionally stable FDTD methods have been developed recently. To analyze the relations between these methods theoretically, they are all viewed as approximations of the conventional FDTD scheme in present discussion. The errors between the...
